A Glory Story is a holy success story! More specifically, it is a short story sharing how God has become better known in the lives of people who have had contact with the ASJB. These stories are full of hope and give all glory to God! Every month we share a new story here so be sure to check in monthly to be uplifted by how God works in the lives of so many!

If you have a Glory Story of your own to share or have seen God work through the ASJB, contact us and we can feature your story!

Freshman Jean Mondoro who attends the University of Mary Washington wrote to us during this academic year and shared with us this Glory Story:

“I admit that when I took home my Bosco Bundles from the College Night this summer, it felt like a daunting challenge. With all the unknowns lurking ahead in college, I had no desire to even think about having to give away a package of Catholic books. Who would want more reading, and who would I get to know well enough to be comfortable giving this to? Unintentionally, I left them at home when I first moved in. By the time my parents brought them to me a few weeks later, I had decided with whom I would share this gift.

“Claire and I first met as suitemates, and then we ended up in the same freshman seminar. She made a comment one of the first days I knew her that she had gone to Catholic school, and I immediately sought her out to ask if she wanted to walk to Mass with me that first Sunday. I learned that Claire had fallen away from the faith during high school, and I thought to myself, ‘First week on campus and I'm already trying to bring people back to church.’ During Club Carnival, I stood at the CCM tent the whole time, and when I saw Claire walking by I called her over. She came with me to glow in the dark capture the flag that night, and after that she became a regular with me.”

Claire admits, “I had no intention of stepping foot in a church once I got to college, let alone going to daily Mass and Adoration. However, after Jean literally pulled me into the CCM tent at Club Carnival, I realized that there was a family waiting to welcome me in and help me ‘Rediscover Catholicism’. And who knew that three months later I'd be reading Rediscover Catholicism by Matthew Kelly, which was included in my Bosco Bundle."
