GLORY STORY: From Mason to Mission: Part One

May 2020

A Glory Story is a holy success story! More specifically, it is a short story sharing how God has become better known in the lives of people who have had contact with the ASJB. These stories are full of hope and give all glory to God! Every month we share a new story here so be sure to check in monthly to be uplifted by how God works in the lives of so many!

If you have a Glory Story of your own to share or have seen God work through the ASJB, contact us and we can feature your story!

Camryn Stryker, a sophomore attending George Mason University, wrote to us this past summer and shared with us this story:

“When I first heard about ASJB, it was from a close friend and I didn’t really know what to expect or what God had planned for me. I went to my College Night and brought some friends and we were so surprised by the community, fellowship, pizza (of course), and phenomenal speakers! One of which was Erinn Black and I couldn’t help but think God truly intended on us meeting that day.”

As God would have it, Erinn had thought the same thing. She writes, “I knew very quickly that Camryn and I were going to be great friends and that meeting her this night was truly a God given gift! The ASJB College Night gave me the opportunity to invite her into our Catholic Campus Ministry community before she even showed up at campus. She was my newest friend that I eagerly introduced to everyone the first week on campus.”

Camryn continues saying, “we both were going to be at GMU together and I really clicked with her story. From that night forward, we’ve had a beautiful friendship in Christ together and she helped me become involved in our Catholic Campus Ministry (CCM). It made me feel so much better joining CCM having met someone who was already wanting to be there for me and be invested in my growth.

“Since my College Night, I’ve also participated in ASJB’s Apostolate Training in the winter which was fantastic and I really enjoyed, and I have also helped out as a College Night volunteer. I’m so happy ASJB entered my life because it’s an organization that stays with you after your College Night— they’re there for you, pray for you, care about you, and you never know the fruits that may grow from these experiences!”
